Geotechnical Engineering and Laboratory Testing

Our geotechnical engineering department is comprised of highly experienced geotechnical engineers and geologists, all of whom are licensed professionals. Trained in the use of the latest technologies, our team identifies potential site limitations and anticipates construction challenges to deliver optimal solutions for your geotechnical concerns.

EBA has the staff and resources to provide all required geotechnical engineering services for projects involving highways, bridges, buildings, piers, wharfs, stormwater management facilities, landfills, dams, tunnels, slope stabilization, drainage, and utility systems.

Laboratory Testing

Accredited by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) since 1993, our laboratory meets the requirements of AASHTO R-18 (quality management system), ASTM C1077 (concrete), ASTM D 3666 (paving materials), ASTM D3740 (soil and rock), and ASTM E 329 (construction inspection and testing). EBA owns
and operates an AASHTO-accredited materials testing laboratory in Laurel, Maryland.
