I-64 Widening and Route 623 Interchange Improvements

EBA provided quality control inspection and testing services for the widening of I-64 from four lanes to six lanes eastbound from Route 623 to Route 271 and westbound from Route 271 to Route 622.

The I-64/Route 623 interchange improvements include upgrading the existing traffic signal, widening the westbound I-64 off-ramp to Route 623 to provide an additional turn lane, widening the I-64 eastbound off-ramp to Route 623 to provide an additional turn lane, and adding a left turn lane on Route 623 south to I-64 east.

EBA oversaw inspection and quality compliance for bridges, roadways, utilities, retaining walls, guardrails, fencing, signage, traffic signals, intelligent transportation systems, lighting, pavement markings, seeding, erosion and sediment controls, wetland mitigation, and work zone maintenance of traffic. EBA also conducted off-site inspection of materials and fabricated products as required.
