Howard Community College Health Sciences Building

EBA provided geotechnical engineering, drilling, and laboratory testing services for the design and construction of Howard Community College’s Health Sciences Building in Columbia, Maryland—the college’s first green building.

The 113,000-square-foot, 3-story building houses state-of-the-art simulation labs and a dental clinic. The project also included utility extensions and other site improvements, such as roadways, walkways, parking, and landscaping.

EBA’s geotechnical exploration investigated the subsurface conditions at the project site. Once obtained, soil samples were transported to EBA’s in-house materials testing laboratory for processing and index testing.
