Project Manager Water and Wastewater (2 Positions)

  • A Bachelors or Masters in Civil/Environmental Engineering
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License
  • A minimum of 10+ years engineering experience related to water/wastewater Planning and Design
  • Hydraulic Modeling experience using WaterGEMS/WaterCAD is prefered

Job duties include working on state and local government projects for the design of new and rehabilitation of existing municipal collection and distribution systems, pump stations and treatment plants. Additional skills may include hydraulic modeling, data analysis, SSES, I/I, CSO/SSO, sewer assessments, rehabilitation/retrofit design and master planning. Treatment plant/Process experience will be helpful, but is not required. Job duties will also include preparing reports and studies, cost estimates, construction documents, providing construction administration services; mentoring entry level engineers, and meet schedules and financial performance goals on assigned projects and manage client relations. Working experience in Washington-Baltimore Metropolitan Area will be given a preference. Job location is EBA Office in Laurel, Maryland.

Project Engineer Water and Wastewater (Multiple Positions)

  • A Bachelors or Masters in Civil/Environmental Engineering
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of engineering design experience

Job duties include working on state and local government projects for the design of municipal collection and distribution systems and pump stations. Prepare plan and profiles, yard piping, site grading, sediment and erosion control. Applicant must have basic math/geometry skills, the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time, good communication skills, the ability to work in a group, and the ability to adapt to company policies and CAD standards. Additional skills may include hydraulic modeling and analysis capabilities, preparing cost estimates and construction documents.

Data Analyst (Multiple Positions)

  • A Bachelors or Masters in Civil/Environmental Engineering
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Access
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience with Database Management

Job duties include working on local government project for area wide Sewershed studies, including flow Monitoring Program and Flow Data QA Process.  We are looking for an engineer experienced in hydraulics, flow data analysis, and database management.  Applicant must have basic math/geometry skills, the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time, good communication skills, the ability to work in a group, and the ability to adapt to company policies and standards.

Sewer Cleaner Truck Operator for CCTV Work (Multiple Positions) Baltimore, Maryland

  • High school diploma
  • Two to three years of heavy equipment operations experience
  • One year of sewer cleaning equipment operations experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred
  • Current Commercial drivers license (CDL), including air brakes, tanker and hazardous endorsements and no outstanding violations
  • Safety and training certifications

Job duties include performing skilled work in operating, maintaining and repairing high pressure water jet cleaner and jet cleaner-vacuum combination unit, used in cleaning sewer lines. Perform specialized maintenance work in wastewater collection systems and provide narrative and written documentation of conditions found.  Work requires the employee to work in conjunction with, and at times operate, Television inspection equipment. Incumbents may direct and oversee the work of an assigned crew and perform related duties as required.

Responsibilities

  1. Operate and drive Cleaner trucks and required equipment.
  2. Reads gauges and operates water pumps, hydraulic equipment and vacuum equipment associated with jet sewer cleaning equipment.
  3. Places, or directs the placement of, support pipes and water and vacuum hoses.
  4. Fills water tanks and dumps collected debris.
  5. Perform traffic control through proper cone and sign set-up to protect equipment operators at the work site. Ability to safely re-route traffic by "flagging".
  6. Assist Television Truck Operator as directed in inspection field work and recording pertinent information on forms, logs, etc.
  7. Assist in the responsibility of maintaining the Cleaner truck vehicle and its contents.  Includes washing, routine and preventative maintenance and logging vehicle information.  Also includes the shared duty of securing the vehicle and its contents from theft and vandalism.
  8. Responsible for personal paperwork, including accurately completing employee timesheet plus any correspondence with regional or corporate office specific to employee.
  9. Complete special projects as requested.

 Requirements

  1. Knowledge of the types and properties of sewer line construction, wastewater system layouts, and water flow characteristics.
  2. Considerable knowledge of the standard materials, equipment and safe work practices related to heavy equipment operation and routine maintenance.
  3. Working skill in operating heavy equipment in and alongside traffic. 
  4. Knowledge of the safe and efficient use of jet/vactor sewer cleaning equipment. 
  5. Knowledge of the routine maintenance practices necessary to obtain maximum use of jet/vactor sewer cleaning equipment. 
  6. Knowledge of the procedures for the proper and safe maintenance and cleaning of sewers. Working skill in the maintenance, repair and operation of high pressure water pumps and vacuum pipe cleaning equipment.
  7. Knowledge of methods, practices, techniques, materials, tools and equipment employed in a sewer assessment program. 
  8. Knowledge of sewer inspection and maintenance. 
  9. Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to underground sewer cleaning and inspections. 
  10. Ability to perform minor repair and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and electronic systems. 
  11. Ability to prepare accurate records indicating conditions and locations of sewer lines. 
  12. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  13. Computer skills and ability to manage crews and paperwork.

Closed Circuit TV Operator (Multiple Positions) Baltimore, Maryland

  • High school diploma
  • Two to three years of heavy equipment operations experience
  • One year of television inspection equipment operation experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred
  • Current Commercial drivers license (CDL), including air brakes, tanker and hazardous endorsements and no outstanding violations
  • NASSCO Pipeline Assessment and Certification Program (PACP) training desirable. Completion to be obtained within 30 days for new employees
  • Safety and training certifications

Job duties include performing skilled work in the operation and maintenance of remote inspection equipment used in pipelines.  Perform specialized investigation in wastewater collection systems and provide narrative and written documentation of the findings during inspections.  Work requires the employee to work in conjunction with, and at times operate, high pressure jet rodding-vacuum equipment. May direct and oversee the work of an assigned crew.

Responsibilities

  1. Operate inspection equipment vehicle, including driving to and from work sites.
  2. Activate and adjust equipment controls for optimal results.
  3. Prepare descriptions of each identified sewer defect and recording all pertinent data including its exact location.
  4. Perform traffic control through proper cone and sign set-up to protect equipment operators at the work site. Ability to safely re-route traffic by "flagging".
  5. Assist Cleaner Operator as directed in cleaning field work and recording pertinent information on forms, logs, etc.
