NICODEMUS ROAD BRIDGE
Baltimore County, Maryland


EBA provided materials testing and geotechnical engineering for the evaluation of the existing bridge and to facilitate the replacement of the bridge. The bridge is approximately 545 feet long and consists of six spans supported by five concrete piers and two abutments. The cast-in-place concrete deck is carried by steel beams that span between the substructural units.

EBA performed a geotechnical investigation for the Visitor Center at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. The subsurface exploration included three soil borings and eight cone penetration tests (CPTs).

CSO LONG TERM CONTROL PLAN - ANACOSTIA RIVER PROJECTS
Washington, District of Columbia


EBA provided geotechnical drilling and laboratory testing services for the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority’s (DC WASA) Long Term Control Plan (LTCP) for the District’s Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs). The LTCP provides for the control of CSOs to the Anacostia River. When completed the Anacostia River Projects (ARP) are expected to reduce the average year volume of CSOs to the Anacostia River by 98 percent, and the number of overflows from 82 to 2 in the average year.
